Aldermore snaps up ex-RBS head

Challenger bank Aldermore has appointed a new head of enterprise risk.

Petrina Oliver joins from Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) where she served as head of prudential regulation and frameworks, risk analytics and models.

Prior to RBS, Petrina also held a variety of roles at both Clydesdale Bank and National Australia Bank.

Petrina said: “Aldermore is a fast-growing business that has made real inroads into the UK banking sector.

“I’m looking forward to continuing to build out the bank’s enterprise risk framework to provide the support that SMEs, landlords, homeowners and savers need to succeed and achieve their ambitions.”

In her new role, Petrina will join Aldermore’s group risk senior leadership team and report to Christine Palmer, the chief risk director, at the bank’s offices in London.

Commenting on the appointment, Christine added: “I am delighted that Petrina is joining Aldermore.

“She is highly respected within the industry and the experience that she brings will help us to continue to manage the bank’s risk appetite in a prudent and transparent way, while giving us the flexibility to react quickly to the financial needs of our growing customer base.”
