LMS unveils conveyancing support tool.

Legal Marketing Services (LMS) has launched a new online support service designed to help brokers with the conveyancing process.

The new service, the LMS Select Portal, will not only help brokers find conveyancers, but will include functions which allow them to save and retrieve quotes and adjust the referral fees on a case-by-case basis. It will also allow users to track key steps and view case notes.

Andy Knee, Chief Executive for Legal Marketing Services told Mortgage Solutions: “Conveyancing costs have been rising dramatically for consumers.

"At present it is lenders paying more for valuations not conveyancing. The biggest challenge for this sector of the market has been a lack of solicitors, conveyancers and valuers."

He added: "Now is an exciting time, as the economy starts its slow return from recession. We have seen our business volumes increase by 50% compared to last year and they are continuing to rise. The speed and flexibility of our new portal will allow brokers to be more efficient in processing this ever increasing volume of cases."

The firm feels the new support tool will streamline the conveyancing process, which will in-turn reduce overall costs.
