Funding Invoice provides facility for sunglasses brand

Peer-to-peer lending platform Funding Invoice has granted a loan facility to an independent sunglasses brand.

Zanzan Eyewear plans to use the facility to develop new products, grow its existing team and expand into international markets.

The funds will also enable the company to maintain a positive cash flow and continue its current phase of growth.

Gareth Townshend, director of Zanzan Eyewear, said: “Sunglasses companies like ours naturally experience lower consumer demand over the winter months.

“Funding Invoice has enabled us to advance money against future revenue and meet our ambitious growth targets, while maintaining a healthy level of cash flow.

“The team’s personal service and modern approach have been a huge help to our brand to date, and we look forward to continuing our relationship.”

Founded in 2010, Zanzan Eyewear’s products are designed in London and handmade in northern Italy.

Aamar Aslam, CEO of Funding Invoice (pictured above), added: “We assist a number of independent fashion brands with seasonal cash flow imbalances and are proud to help businesses across the country achieve their strategic growth goals.

“Zanzan Eyewear represents exactly the kind of business that we like working with – fast-growth, ambitious and focused – and we look forward to helping the team realise their growth plans.”

In November, Funding Invoice revealed it had lent £6m in its first year of business.
