Tuscan Capital bolsters broker-facing team

Tuscan Capital has strengthened its team with three new broker-facing appointments.

Dena Thompson, Andy Reeder and Henry Bowcock have joined the recently launched bridging lender as head of credit and risk, client services manager and new business analyst respectively.

Dena – who has over 18 years of lending experience, concentrating her expertise in the bridging sector over the past 11 years – joins Tuscan Capital from Urban Exposure, where she was director of credit.

Prior to this, Dena held senior underwriting and credit positions at Alternative Bridging Corporation and Fortwell Capital.

She will report to CEO Colin Sanders (pictured above) and be responsible for the underwriting and credit management of loans, from origination through to redemption.

Andy – who was previously part of the client services team at Fortwell Capital and, before that, Omni Capital Partners – will be responsible for discussing and structuring new deals and building and maintaining key relationships with introducers, valuers, solicitors and real estate investors.

Henry joins Tuscan Capital from development lender Imperial Blue Finance, where he held a business internship.

In his new role, Henry will be providing essential operational, analytical and logistical support to the lender’s sales, credit and risk, and PR and marketing functions.

“Following our launch last month, the response from intermediaries and potential customers has been immensely encouraging,” said Colin.

“Deal flow is strong, and we’re working hard to fulfil the expectations rightly demanded of a new lender seeking a place in a highly competitive market.”

Colin added that the new hires represented an ideal blend of experience and freshness.

“As a lender that prides itself on combining traditional values with new thinking, I couldn’t ask for a better intake at this time.”

Tuscan Capital confirmed that further appointments will be announced shortly.
