Precise raises over £10,000 for charity

Precise Mortgages has raised £10,020 for charity from its annual poker evening.

The lender will donate the proceeds to its charity partner Socks and Chocs.

The charity was set up in 2010 by ex-serviceman Ian Northcott to relieve hardship and distress among homeless people and those living in adverse housing conditions.

This is the eighth year that Precise has held its poker evening, which was attended by more than 150 mortgage professionals last Thursday (12th July).

The money raised has increased from last year, when Precise raised £8,760.

Attendees included brokers, clubs, conveyancers, networks and packagers.

The evening featured a poker tournament, a roulette wheel and a silent auction, which was match-funded by Precise.

Alan Cleary, managing director at Precise Mortgages, said: “Our poker night is now in its eighth year and has become one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the mortgage industry calendar.

“It’s a great opportunity to meet up with colleagues from across the industry.

“Thanks to everyone who came along and for their generosity.

“The money raised will help Socks and Chocs carry on its fantastic work.”
