Giles Cross steps down as Folk2Folk CEO

Folk2Folk has revealed that its CEO, Giles Cross (pictured above), has resigned to pursue other opportunities.

Giles was appointed CEO in January 2018 and oversaw a period of consolidation for the business.

During his tenure, its loan book grew by 38%, with his focus set on scaling the business.

Giles stated that he really enjoyed his time at Folk2Folk and was proud of what he’d achieved with the P2P lender.

“Folk2Folk is an exciting company with a brilliant team of employees and I look forward to following the company’s future success.”

Roy Warren, head of loans, risk and portfolio at Folk2Folk, has been appointed as interim managing director.

Tim Sawyer, chairman at Folk2Folk, said: “I want to express my heartfelt thanks to Giles for his significant contribution to the development of Folk2Folk in its evolution from start-up to scale-up business.

“We wish him the very best for his professional and personal future.”
