He joined the firm as its first trainee just weeks after it launched in 1997.

“In taking over from Simon I have distinguished shoes to fill, but having been with the firm since its inception almost 22 years ago, I am excited about the opportunities looking forward.
“We have a very clear Turcan Connell culture with our clients and the delivery of excellent service to them [is] at the centre of everything that we do.
“In chairing the partnership my aim is to hold [on] to our key values and guide the firm in an empathetic and progressive manner.”
Simon added: “Turcan Connell prides itself on consistently developing and retaining talented individuals.
“As a firm, we have a clear focus on providing succession planning advice to clients and it is very pleasing to be practising what we preach.
“Around half [of] our current partners began their journey as trainees of the firm and I warmly welcome as my successor the person who was our very first trainee over 20 years ago.”
