Kensington Mortgages issues £465m public securitisation

Kensington Mortgages has issued its latest securitisation transaction worth £465m, which brings its total issuance to more than £8.7bn.

The latter sum represents the total issuance for the specialist mortgage lender since the group was formed under its current ownership in 2015.

The £465m deal saw significant demand from investors, which lead to the transaction being upsized from an initial sum of £325m.

“The last few weeks have been very busy in the market with a number of lenders who haven’t previously used the securitisation route for funding bringing deals to the market,” said Alex Maddox, capital markets and digital director at Kensington (pictured above).

“The continued strong investor demand for Kensington’s transactions is evidence of the market’s recognition of the high-quality collateral we originate.”
