Assetz Capital MD to step down

Assetz Capital has revealed that Rob Pailin will be stepping down from his role as director due to personal circumstances.

The P2P lender thanked him for his time at the company.

David Penston, managing director and co-founder of Assetz Capital, will take over Rob’s role along with other internal promotions.

Rob joined Assetz Capital in 2016 from RBS, where he served as the managing director of its corporate business in the North.

His role saw him work closely with Stuart Law, chief executive at Assetz Capital, to help the platform achieve its growth plans.

An Assetz Capital spokesperson said: “During his two-and-a-half years with the company, Rob carried out an important role as Assetz Capital has grown strongly to become the second-largest business P2P lender in Europe, with over 100 employees.

“He leaves with everyone’s best wishes and our great thanks for helping to grow our company performance, governance and team to the next level.”
