Regulated bridging returns to top of Knowledge Bank search criteria

Regulated bridging has returned to the top of the bridging category in Knowledge Bank's most recent criteria activity index for August.

Maximum LTV for bridging — the most searched for criteria in the category in July — was the third-most searched for criteria.

August also saw bridge-to-term and bridging — minimum loan enter the top five, while there was a fall in adverse credit searches from the third- to the fourth-most searched for criteria.

Semi-commercial properties topped the commercial category, while lending to limited companies returned to the summit of the BTL category, having previously been there in May 2019.

Nicola Firth, CEO at Knowledge Bank (pictured above), said: “We are entering an unprecedented period of change in the country, both politically and economically.

“The mortgage sector has never been more fluid and we can see from these results that product types rise and fall in popularity from month-to-month.

“As a result, keeping up to date with products and their accompanying criteria has never been more challenging.”
