The FP Show

Involvement of broker and lender panellists sets FP Show up for 'fruitful discussion'

The Finance Professional Show (FP Show) is set to involve "fruitful discussion" due to the involvement of both lenders and brokers, according to Chris Sykes, mortgage consultant at Private Finance.

The FP Show — which boasts a wide variety of exhibiting brands and an all-day conference programme — takes place on 6th November at Olympia London and runs from 9.30am–4.30pm.

“I believe that the format of the panel — with its combination of lenders and brokers — sets the stage for a very fruitful discussion, allowing us to answer a wide range of questions and hopefully provide the attendees of the event with all the information they could need,” said Chris, who will be taking part in the Property 90 – Complex Resi Q&A.

“On the subject of complex residential mortgages/borrowing, lenders are having to adapt to service those with increasingly complex income structures.”

Jonathan Samuels, founder and CEO at Octane Capital, stated that he was looking forward to discussing some of the “major trends” within short-term finance in 2019.

"The Finance Professional Show is a must-attend for lenders, brokers and everyone else involved in the specialist finance industry.

“The quality of the speakers this year is off the scale and anyone who likes to keep their finger on the sector’s pulse will definitely be there on the day.”

Sundeep Patel, head of intermediary relations for London at Together, added: “The exhibition brings together leading professionals in the lending and intermediary markets under one roof.

“We are proud to be attending — and sponsoring — this event, which has become one of the leading annual financial services expos held in the capital.

“As part of a packed conference programme, I’ll be joining an experienced panel of experts in a Q&A about bridging finance, where I’ll be offering valuable insight into trends in the current bridging market and looking at the future of short-term finance.”

Jamie Pritchard, head of sales at Precise Mortgages, claimed that the FP Show was an “excellent opportunity” to discuss specialist lending with brokers.

“The bridging and BTL conversations we had last year led to good business relationships, and this is why I have chosen to discuss top slicing at this year’s event.

“It’s a good way to show how Precise Mortgages can utilise a landlord’s excess income to achieve the loan size they need to execute their rental business plan.”

Lizzie Lane, head of short-term lending at Masthaven, highlighted that specialist lending “evolves and shifts very quickly”.

“I’m really excited to talk about the current market and what the future may hold, particularly in underwriting.

“I’m also pleased to see that both lenders and brokers will be speaking at the show — it’s always good to see things from a different perspective.”
