B&C roundtable: Are hybrid offerings an opportunity or necessity?




Bridging & Commercial has launched its fourth filmed roundtable session, which discussed whether hybrid products actually exist and if expanded offerings were an opportunity or necessity for bridging lenders.

The event — which took place on 30th September at Watson Farley & Williams’ offices in London and was chaired by B&C editor Beth Fisher — was supported by Castle Trust and Oblix Capital.

Marcus Dussard, director of sales at Castle Trust; and Andy Reid, director — intermediary and network at Oblix Capital; explained why hybrid products were becoming popular in the bridging sector and how important it was for brokers to help shape new lending products to fill market gaps.

Specialist brokers were also in attendance to offer their thoughts, including Lucy Barrett, managing director at Vantage Finance; Danny Robinson, director of commercial at Grey Matters Specialist Lending; and Sam O’Neill, senior finance broker at Clifton Private Finance.

 

Ranjeev Kumar, partner at Watson Farley & Williams, also gave a legal perspective on the complexities of hybrid offerings.
