Connect for Intermediaries signs Women in Finance Charter

Specialist lending expert Connect for Intermediaries has been accepted by HM Treasury as a signatory of the Women in Finance Charter.

The company has also signed up to AE3 Media’s Women’s Executive Finance Forum (WEFF), enabling female team members to attend events which support women who want to succeed and grow.

Liz Syms, CEO at Connect for Intermediaries (pictured above), said: “Increasing the number of senior women in the mortgage market is incredibly important, not only because it is the right thing to do, but also to reflect the borrowers that we see every day.”

At present, 53% of Connect’s staff are female, including 33% of its management team.

According to the latest HM Treasury report from March 2019, 72% of signatories increased the proportion of women in senior management in the previous 12 months.
