EY Bridging Finance survey 2020

EY launches 2020 UK Bridging Finance survey

EY Financial Services’ corporate finance team has launched its 2020 UK Bridging Finance survey.

The analysis aims to increase transparency across the UK bridging finance sector and gauge market sentiment this year.

The report will comprise the views and opinions of lenders and brokers within the industry and be released first by Bridging & Commercial.

Over 40 UK bridging finance lenders and brokers contributed to the 2019 survey, with the responses revealing key trends and insights.

The 2018 and 2019 EY UK Bridging Finance reports, incorporating the findings of each survey, can be found on the EY website.

2019’s report also revealed that broker-related channels were most important for loan originations, as opposed to aggregator websites or third-party (non-broker) referrals.

In addition, 82% of respondents believed Brexit would be one of the key challenges impacting the UK bridging finance industry that year.

Nick Parkhouse, partner at EY, said: “Following on from the fantastic responses we received last year from over 40 market participants, I am pleased to be launching the survey for the second year, where we hope to receive even greater levels of feedback to allow us to produce an insightful look into the current state of the market.

“The UK bridging finance sector goes from strength to strength and the EY team is excited to see what 2020 brings for the sector.

“I believe the EY UK Bridging Finance survey has played its part in bringing insight and transparency to the sector and has become a must read for investors globally when wanting to learn more about this market.”
