Marcus Dussard leaves Castle Trust to join HTB as sales director

Marcus Dussard (pictured above) is to join Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) as sales director of its specialist mortgages division.

He will start his new position later this year and report to Alex Upton, who will become commercial director of the specialist mortgages division.

Marcus will join HTB from Castle Trust, where he was sales director.

Charles McDowell, managing director of specialist mortgages at HTB, said he was thrilled to have Marcus join the team.

“Marcus is a rainmaker within the specialist mortgage market…”

“He will add further momentum to a business which is already growing exponentially.

“When I look across our mortgages division, I’m proud to lead a team of specialists unrivalled in their capabilities.

“Despite our rapid growth, we are confident that we can continue to deliver the exceptional service and support our brokers expect from us.”

Commenting on his new appointment, Marcus stated that he was looking forward to being part of the “high-performing team” and the “next exciting stage in HTB’s development plan”.

“The industry has really started to sit up and take notice of HTB and the impact it is having on the specialist market.

“The opportunity to work in a team which combines energetic, intelligent leadership, a compelling proposition and exceptional people is hard to resist.”

Barry Searle, managing director of mortgages at Castle Trust, confirmed to Bridging & Commercial that Marcus had left Castle Trust.

“He has contributed a lot to the business during his time here and we would like to thank him for all of his hard work,” he added.

“In the meantime, this presents an opportunity for someone new to step into the sales director role and take Castle Trust on the next stage of our journey to becoming a bank."
