PIMFA has written to the FCA to discuss the potential implications of Covid-19 for member firms and their clients.

The trade association represents companies that provide investment management and financial advice.

Liz Field, chief executive at PIMFA (pictured above), has written to the FCA and HM Treasury for guidance and clarification on how firms should engage with the regulator during this time.

The watchdog has initiated weekly meetings to give PIMFA the opportunity to provide feedback from firms on operational issues they are facing.

“…There are a number of issues I have identified and highlighted to the FCA on behalf of our members,” said Liz.

“Much of what I have set out centres on communication with and servicing clients and engagement with the regulator, as well as the operational concerns many firms may have.”

Liz urged members to contact PIMFA with their concerns.
