Castle Trust appoints Phil Dabbs as director of property credit risk

Phil Dabbs is the new director of property credit risk at Castle Trust.

Phil has more than 15 years’ experience with SME and property portfolios, having held roles at Merril Lynch and Global Home Loans.

He was a member of the enterprise management risk committee and group credit committee at Amicus Finance, and, most recently, worked as head of credit at bridging lender Fiduciam.

“Property credit risk is a key element to the continued growth of this business, and I have a wealth of experience and expertise that I look forward to bring to the role,” Phil commented.

The appointment comes shortly after Castle Trust announced that it had successfully secured its banking licence

Barry Searle, managing director of mortgages at Castle Trust, said: “…You need to have the right people in the right roles, and Phil’s appointment as our new director of property risk will give us exactly what we need to continue to deliver our ambitious plans.”
