Octane announces trio of senior promotions

Octane Capital has announced it has promoted three members of its senior team.

Graham Macaulay has been promoted to head of short-term lending and will oversee three of the Octane's credit managers, and will report to Matt Smith, director of credit and risk.

Liam Lawlor — who reports to Mark Posniak, managing director — has been promoted from senior BDM to sales director, and will oversee some of the lender’s newest BDMs, including Bethan Jones.

In addition, Donna-Louise House — who also reports to Matt — has been promoted to head of buy-to-let credit, a role in which she will lead Octane’s new BTL team.

The lender soft launched its BTL offering during lockdown with a number of key partners and plans to widen its distribution towards the end of the summer.

“We’re always keen to promote talent and commitment from within and Liam, Graham and Donna, who have worked tirelessly to grow Octane in recent years, deserve to have their hard work rewarded,” commented Jonathan Samuels, CEO at Octane Capital (pictured above).

“Each is a huge asset to the company and we are confident they will continue to go from strength to strength in their new roles.

“Things have picked up sharply since the property market emerged from lockdown and all three will be vital to ensuring we continue to grow our market share at a time when, more than ever, experience counts.”

Last week, Octane hired two new BDMs, including ex-Together regional development director Samantha Emery, and former Habito relationship manager, Bethan Jones.

In May, the specialist lender bolstered its sales and credit teams with two new hires, Chris Harrison and Shrena Patel.
