Aldermore announces new commercial director position

Aldermore has appointed a commercial director of asset finance, a newly created position.

The bank decided to merge the roles of commercial director of wholesale finance and commercial director of asset finance sales after Patrick Jelly’s decision to leave the latter position.

Lee Rhodes, who is currently commercial director of wholesale finance, will be appointed to the new role from July.

Lee has been at Aldermore for over six years and has grown its wholesale business from scratch.

Prior to joining the bank, he held roles with Investec, ING Leasing, and Kleinwort Benson.

Patrick will leave Aldermore in September for a new opportunity.

Tim Boag, group managing director of business finance at Aldermore, said: “With our emphasis on developing deeper and more strategic intermediary relationships, and with both the broker and wholesale businesses operating in the same markets, it makes sense for us to unite our activities in this area.

“I would like to congratulate Lee on his appointment and look forward to continuing our asset finance success story.”
