Nick will be joining Roma at the beginning of August from major lender Together, where he worked for 20 years.
In this newly created role, Nick will be responsible for the business’s overall commercial strategy, identifying opportunities, developing new products and overseeing sales and marketing.
Nick will also be promoting commercial innovation and be tasked with driving the business forward to achieve desired growth ambitions.
“After 25 years in the industry and the incredible journey I’ve had so far, I am delighted to be part of Roma Finance as they continue to build on their significant heritage,” said Nick.
“I’m extremely passionate about the intermediary market and I believe my knowledge and experience will help drive Roma Finance forward to achieve its full ambition.
“I’m looking forward to shaping the direction as we — as a business and as an industry — look ahead to the future.”
Last week, Nick posted a statement on LinkedIn confirming his last working day at Together.
Together temporarily halted new loan applications across its product range in March, due to the Covid-19 crisis.
In March, the 45-year-old lender said that it would focus its attention on customers already in its pipeline.

- 'I'm more excited about the future of Roma than I've ever been'
Nick's post stated: "...While I’m really excited about the role I’m about to move on to, the last 20 years have been an incredible journey with a work family that started in late 1999.
"To see how far the business has come in that time, and to have played my part, has been an amazing opportunity.
"To all my colleagues past and present, you have all been such a big part of my life and my career.
"There are far too many to name personally who have helped grow my career over the years, however I want you all to know that I will forever be grateful for your time, knowledge and support.
"To Henry [Moser] & Marc [Goldberg], you gave me a career and a platform of which I was so incredibly proud to be able to represent every day, thank you, it really has been a truly wonderful ride."
Roma relaunched back into the specialist lending market on 1st May after it temporarily stopped accepting new business applications on 25th March, amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Scott Marshall, managing director at Roma Finance, added: “Nick’s wealth of experience in the industry makes him the perfect choice for the new role of commercial director, and I am delighted to appoint him to this critical role.
“With specialist lending becoming more commonplace and property investors gathering pace to grow their portfolios, this is a hugely exciting time for the business.
“On a personal note, I wish Nick every success here at Roma Finance.”
