CHL Mortgages and The Mortgage Lender (TML) have made new appointments.

CHL Mortgages

CHL Mortgages has appointed a new national accounts manager and three BDMs.

Andy Valvona — who has over 30 years of experience working across the industry for lenders, intermediary networks and fintech companies — joins CHL as a national accounts manager from On The Money Technologies, where he was a sales consultant.

Prior to this, he held positions at various businesses, including Fleet Mortgages, SSP Limited and Synaptic Software Limited.

In his new role, Andy will help introduce and establish the new CHL lending proposition in the intermediary marketplace.

The three new BDMs will initially cover England and Wales between them — Andrea Gizzy will be responsible for London, Midlands and the North, while Daniel Watson will focus on the South and South West and Paul Flude will cover the South East and East Anglia.

Ross Turrell, commercial director at CHL Mortgages, commented: “When building a new team, it’s vital to get the right people in the right roles.

“We have taken our time to ensure that we have recruited a team with the appropriate credentials who fully understand the ethos of the company.

“Andy is well known, vastly experienced and highly regarded across the intermediary mortgage market.

“Andrea, Daniel and Paul have all worked for CHL Mortgages before and fully understand the history of the brand.

“We are building a new proposition, but their experience will ensure that our intermediary partners can take advantage of our ethos of providing great service, competitive pricing and digital solutions, which will enhance their experience across the board.”

The Mortgage Lender

The Mortgage Lender (TML) has appointed Joe Noon as a BDM covering the East Central region, which spans from East Yorkshire and Humberside to Norwich and Peterborough.

In his new role, he will team up with telephone business development manager Rachel Peggie.

Joe joins TML from Vida Homeloans, where he worked as a key accounts manager.

Prior to this, he held positions at Metro Bank and Lloyds Banking Group.

“It’s great to now be a part of the team, especially as it’s such an exciting time for the business following the acquisition by Shawbrook Bank,” said Joe.

“Now, more than ever, pragmatic lending will be key for those borrowers whose situations have been changed by the pandemic.

“I’m looking forward to catching up with brokers and discussing the great products we offer.”

David Eaves, head of sales at TML, added: “Joe loves working in the specialist intermediary space and has a real talent for getting under the skin of a case, no matter how challenging, and working through it with the broker.

“He has the same real-life lending approach we believe in and it’s one of the reasons we’re delighted he’s joined us.”

Joe is one of the many appointments TML has recently made, growing its headcount to more than 150.

The lender plans to continue its recruitment drive.
