When did you start playing basketball and how did you get into it professionally?

I started basketball at the age of 10, I then went to the National Institute of Sports in Paris at 14. This is where all the Basketball National Teams are trained.  Tony Parker and Boris Diaw went to this institute too.

What basketball team do you support?

The San Antonio Spurs. I am very proud of Tony and Boris not only for their title’s here but also for the values they vehicle.

What were the highlights and the lows of being a basketball player?

When you had a very bad performance you needed to explain your performance to your sponsors. I guess we saw a flavour of this in this World Cup with Brazil vs Germany!

What titles and awards did you win whilst on the court?

Finalist of the European Cup Ronchetti Cup with and 4th place of the Euro League.

What made you want to go into finance?

When I graduated with a BA in Law I decided to complete it with a Masters. My Business School, Edhec has some good financial programmes (although I started in Marketing), so that was my path. Being in London it felt natural to follow. There are many similarities in finance and sports: speed, adrenaline, quick decision making, and dynamism. You will be surprised how many pro-athletes you can find at investment banking desks!

What quote inspires you?

“Though times never last. Tough people do” (Robert H Schuller)

Name three things that not many people know about you
1 - Love for reading and writing.
2- Control freak and perfectionist.
3 – I can be extremely moody when tired or hungry (beware!)
