Following its intentions to dramatically expand, as well as opening a London based office, Hope Capital is assessing the idea of lending in Scotland.

The principal bridging lender’s vast expansion plan includes: opening the London office, launching a recruitment drive as well as potentially increasing its reach up to Scotland.

Over the next year, Hope Capital intends to more than treble its loan book. Also, the Northern-based lender may contemplate increasing its maximum loan size, which currently stands at £1.5 million.

Jonathan Sealey, Chief Executive Officer of Hope Capital and B&C’s Fantasy Football Tournament Champion, said: “We have ambitious plans to grow the business and expand throughout the UK.

On the expansion of the team, he added: “…we are looking to recruit a number of roles both for our head office in Merseyside and in our London office to help further our penetration throughout the country and deal with the increased number of loan cases we are receiving.”

“Hope Capital only deals through introducers and is a true principle lender, so it means that we can be completely flexible and extremely fair about the loans that we complete without the need to go to an external credit committee.

The firm clarified, the recruitment drive is set to add another six individuals to the team in the next twelve months. Their specialisms are expected to cover areas including underwriting, business development and office support.
