Hope Capital has expanded its team with a new underwriter after announcing it is on the way to doubling lending volumes.

The additional underwriter, Laura Carr, has an extensive banking and financial background with 14 years in various roles within RBS Group, including Branch Manager across various branches and managing a customer services team.

Hope Capital, which started up three years ago, has become a key broker-focused bridging lender with excellent service standards. Laura has joined the lender in order to boost the effective and efficient running of its underwriting department and to ensure a speedy response for both borrowers and brokers, even with the lender’s rapidly increasing volumes.

Commenting on the new hire, Jonathan Sealey, Chief Executive Officer of Hope Capital, said: “Laura has a history of working through meticulous lending requirements and building an effective relationship with all parties. She has experience of seamlessly managing all processes to do with both lending and customer services, setting excellent service standards.

“At a time when Hope Capital is on its way to doubling its lending volumes, her experience and know-how ensure that our service standards to both the brokers and borrowers remain amongst the best in the market.”

Laura said: “Hope Capital is one of the most exciting new lenders in the bridging market. I believe that my experience and enthusiasm will help to ensure that they can continue to expand in a way that is both sensible and measured while continuing to provide the excellent, hands on service that it is becoming renowned for. There is certainly a synergy in our goals in directions moving forward.”
