Merchant Money has introduced a 20 minute in principle decision to its loan system to make its system faster and more transparent.

The process will allow brokers and individuals submitting loan applications to receive a provisional answer in 20 minutes, based on pre-screen checks carried out on the company and individual.

To facilitate the move as well as expanding its introducer network, the lender has also appointed two new executives to its business development team.

Viv Sutherland has been appointed Business Development Director for Scotland while Ian Stott joins as Business Development Director for the North of England.

Ian will be responsible for developing broker relationships and will work closely with Merchant Money’s sales director, David Courtneidge.

Viv has over 20 years’ experience senior management experience across a range of business sectors and the majority of Ian’s 15 years’ experience in the financial services was spent the majority of his time at Barclays working with SMEs and large multi-national companies.
