Search Acumen, set up by three of the original founders of Searchflow, is exploring the use cyber technology to bring real improvements in the search market.

The recruitment of high quality staff is proving difficult for many following the recent boom in transactions, as heaps of experienced staff lost during the downturn have moved on to other areas.

However, the new technological development is tipped to be a solution to the biggest challenge currently facing almost every legal practice in the UK is developing.

Surveyors under pressure will not need to waste time logging onto a website to order their searches, Bot-Con will take their place and speak their order in seconds, by simply providing a property address and their required searches.

Results are then sent back via Bot-Con and can then be downloaded or played back verbally.

The revolutionary available in both male and female versions, the virtual assistant can be selected to blend well with an existing team.

Particularly popular in the male version is an optional download that keeps it fully up to date with the half and full time football scores.

Andrew Lloyd, Director at Search Acumen, said: “The last real innovation in this market was when we set up our old business 12 years ago.  Since then other firms have played catch up but no one has taken the industry forward.  Search Acumen is different and we will be pushing boundaries.”

Further announcements of new services to come will be revealed later in the year.

Criticism has risen in various soliciting firms however, as some feel ‘appalled’ by the idea of a robot replacing a conveyancer, defending the extensive knowledge of those currently working in the market.
