Let's be honest, the English rugby team were the real under achievers over the past few weeks never quite failing but always promising to do so, however, the thing that hurts the most is that it was to the French, the one country that always wore their buttons sewn to the back of their tunics so nobody knew they were running away…these are the instigators of blockades and bans on British beef yet complained about anything we may do in a similar vain…well that's it, we rolled over and let them tickle our bellies and we deserved all we got…now for me it's ‘Allez le Rouge’ as I rapidly switch sides and start supporting the land of my forefathers…I have no carnal knowledge of sheep although I do live under the rule of "don't knock it till you've tried it" so I am game if the situation arises and Rob Jupp knows what I mean there…remember Serge the Fisherman! The truth is that both our football and rugby teams lack preparation and planning, they live with no blueprint for success and it's a lesson we all need to learn. On the other side our cricket team, coached by Tim Flowers a very capable but only ever average Zimbabwean, have exceeded our expectations and that is because they had prepared explicitly for the task in front of them…we are in difficult times in our industry, economy and our lives so I ask you to stop and learn from the mistakes of our misguided national heroes (excluding cricket) and make sure we plan for everything we do in life…the business we are all involved in has hit the skids so we have to do everything in our power to keep things moving forward…starting today...!

I know you will probably be laughing at the rant of an ageing mortgage broker but trust me the next 12 months is going to be the hardest and worst ever so at least give yourselves half a chance and for once in your lives listen to an old fool.
