The new commercial lender on the block is celebrating its first birthday by announcing that, during its first year, lending has “exceeded all expectations”.
Aldermore Commercial Mortgages has said that the business now processes more than 500 loan applications per quarter, made by small and medium sized businesses throughout the UK.
Rob Lankey, Head of Lending for Aldermore Commercial Mortgages, said: “We’ve made fantastic progress from a standing start 12 months ago and now have 20 specialist staff based in our Peterborough office, processing loan applications generated via our panel of commercial mortgage brokers. We’re completing deals approaching £10 million per month and the numbers are rising rapidly.
Mr Lankey added that the whole team was thrilled when it recently learnt we had been voted ‘Best Commercial Lender’ by the commercial finance industry at the
Bridging & Commercial awards 2010, held last week at the London Grange City hotel.
“We’ve not only invested heavily in skilled staff and state of the art technology, but have placed a lot of emphasis on building close and productive working relationships with our broker panel, which has most definitely paid dividends for all concerned.” Mr Lankey continued.
“We now intend to build on this solid start, ensuring the business continues to go from strength to strength and provides small and medium sized businesses with the financial support they so desperately need.”
