Metro Bank unveils new commercial banking platform

Metro Bank has announced the launch of a new and improved commercial internet banking platform.

The bank has responded to customer feedback by streamlining the online experience through state-of-the-art technology.

Among the new features is an advanced search facility, which provides clients with on-demand access to their transaction history from the date the account was opened.

Mark Stokes, managing director of commercial at Metro Bank, said: “We’re committed to making our customers’ banking experience simple and straightforward.

“That’s why we listened to their feedback and designed our site around their needs.

“It was really important for us to create a platform that was not just intuitive, but provided rich functionality, freeing them up to focus on managing their business.”

Additional features include a single customer view dashboard to help businesses to quickly view all companies they operate with on one screen.

The site also offers customised payment limits and levels of verification and authorisation for individual users.

Customers will now be able to choose a range of authorisation levels ranging from self-authorisation up to a two-manager verification sign-off process.

The launch follows Metro Bank’s third quarter results, which revealed a 73% year-on-year increase in lending.

Loans to commercial customers represented 35% of the bank’s total lending.
