Founded in 1991 by Maurice and Hilary Craft, Regency claims to be one of the UK’s oldest invoice finance companies.
The Bury-based firm now serves approximately 200 clients across the country, ranging from start-ups to those with an annual turnover of up to £7m.
Maurice, who is the managing director of Regency, said: “People who cannot get the funding they need from the banks turn to us as we have the flexibility and willingness to help quickly.”
Besides invoices, Regency also offers asset, purchase and trade finance.
The firm claims that its offering of whole of product cycle financing has been well received by the SME community.
Regency’s customers include manufacturing, construction and engineering businesses, some of whom have been with the firm for over 15 years.
Similarly, many of Regency’s staff have been with the company for over 10 years.
John Farrell, chief executive at Regency, has been with the firm since 1999, while Maurice and Hilary’s son and daughter-in-law joined the business in 2011.
Hilary credited Regency’s longevity and success to “an outstanding service, talking to our customers and looking after them”.
