Bibby Financial Services reshuffles global executive team

Bibby Financial Services (BFS) has restructured its global executive team after announcing that its international division will cease to operate.

As a result, Steve Box, international chief executive of BFS, has decided to leave the business with immediate effect.

Steve said: “The international division has played an important role in helping to successfully deliver our global strategy.

“Given the advances we have made, it is timely that we disband the division and focus on strengthening the voices of our distinct markets in our global executive team.

“I therefore leave Bibby Financial Services proud of the progress that we have made and wish the very capable team all the very best for the future.”

Following Steve’s departure, Edward Winterton has been promoted to chief executive, UK, having previously been the UK commercial director.

Ian Watson will expand his role as chief executive, North America, to include responsibility for Canada, while Richard Carter will move into the newly created role of chief executive, Europe and Asia.

The new appointees will become members of the Global Executive Committee (ExCo) and report directly to David Postings, the global chief executive of BFS (pictured above).

David added: “Over the past 12 months, we have made significant strides in delivering our business strategy, which has resulted in growth across the vast majority of our markets and the resurgence of our operations in America.

“The structure that we are putting in place builds on our international capabilities to deliver one, joined-up global business, while still recognising key geographic territories and income-generating operations.

“Steve’s efforts, expertise and energy have been invaluable in delivering our strategy to date.

“The business across the world has benefited from his hard work and we are very grateful for all that he has done to help guide the teams to where we are today.”

Another executive change sees Carol Roberts, managing director of leasing in the UK, join the ExCo and she will now report directly to David.
