Alec Viney will look after the challenger bank’s business customers in the South-East of England and will be based at Metro’s Eastbourne store.
With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Alec has previously worked as a commercial relationship director at HSBC.
Andy Veares, director of large commercial banking at Metro, said Alec brought a wealth of experience and a real desire to do the right thing for the customer.

Metro’s large commercial banking team focuses on companies with a turnover above £10m and debt in excess of £3m.
It supports businesses with their day-to-day banking requirements as well as management buy-ins and outs along with asset purchases.
The bank reported a 66% year-on-year increase in lending to £5.9bn with loans to businesses representing 36% of total lending.
