Growth Street attracts over 600 investors

Growth Street has revealed that over 600 investors have chosen to back SMEs through its alternative business finance platform since launching last year.

Growth Street launched peer-to-peer lending for individuals in December 2016 after becoming an appointed representative.

The platform believes the strength of its borrower portfolio – along with its risk management approach – has led to independent peer-to-peer rating service 4thWay to rank it as one of the lowest-risk platforms on the market.

“Our borrowers successfully navigated an uncertain economic landscape in 2016, averaging annual revenue growth of over 24%, while maintaining strong profit margins of 10%,” said Greg Carter, CEO of Growth Street (pictured above).

“The capital from our investors can help them continue this impressive track record in the coming year.”

Growth Street provides working capital to UK businesses and is funded by a mix of individual and institutional investors.

The platform revealed earlier this year that it had plans to enter the broker market as it looked to increase funding to SMEs.
