Ian Alsop (pictured above) joins from Mizrahi Tefahot Bank, London, where he served as head of credit.
He brings over 20 years of experience to the role, having also spent time as head of loans distribution at Bank of Scotland Corporate and director of the Association of Property Lenders.

“This new role at Hampshire Trust Bank is an opportunity to combine my experience of property lending and team leadership in a fast-moving environment, backed by a clear and firm commitment to the commercial mortgage business by the bank,” Ian stated.
Ian will now be responsible for building HTB’s underwriting team and developing policies to ensure the bank maintains fast and consistent lending decisions as its volume of customers increases.
Colin Bell, managing director of commercial mortgages at HTB, added: “We have established a successful commercial mortgages business and Ian’s appointment will ensure we uphold the excellent standard of lending practice we hold ourselves to at HTB.”
