SME lender launches new funding platform

SME lender Sancus Finance has launched a new platform targeted at investors looking to finance businesses online.

Sancus specialises in providing short-, medium- and long-term finance solutions for businesses which need working capital finance to realise their growth plans.

The platform matches funders with businesses looking for fast financing options.

The launch comes as part of a series of developments intended to improve the overall service offered to both funders and businesses.

“Ensuring a business has access to the finance they need to grow is our key driver,” said Caroline Langron, managing director of Sancus Finance (pictured above).

“To make this happen, we need to ensure that we are giving our funders the confidence they need to use our platform.

“We continue to work hard to provide them with access to robust information on the businesses and the transactions that they are interested in, to help them make the right decision about providing funding.”

Sancus took feedback from its existing clients to understand what information was needed when assessing a funding opportunity.

The service aims to make the process of identifying funding opportunities, assessing the level of risk and deploying funds more intuitive and straightforward.

“The new platform is a significant improvement on the previous version,” added Stephen Findlay, CEO of BondMason.

“It’s user friendly, clean and simple to use.

“It enables you to see the information you need at a glance, yet drill down to access more detail to enable you to make informed decisions about fund deployment.

“I have ‘up to the minute’ access to my account information so I can see funds deployed, returns and repaid funds.”

Sancus has provided over £162m of working capital funding since its launch in 2012.

The company offers invoice trading and supply chain finance, as well as specialist financial solutions for educational institutions and a vendor partner programme for businesses hoping to support the purchasing capability of their customers.
