The comments come after the specialist bank revealed its new BDM teams for bridging and mortgages.
UTB has set itself ambitious growth targets, while it also looks to develop its online broker portal, streamline its internal processes and make the best use of technology to improve communication and boost responsiveness.
Bridging sales managers Rob Love and Nick Warren will see Chris Pedlar, Paul Mansell, Andy Keehner and Mike Walters join the team.
Rob, Nick and Mike will look after their existing bridging contacts and develop new ones.
In addition, Mike will be introducing bridging offers to brokers in Wales and the South West.
Chris, Paul and Andy will introduce UTB’s mortgage and bridging products across the country with Chris covering the Midlands, Paul the North and Scotland and Andy serving brokers in East Anglia and London.
Jigar Patel remains as key account manager and will assist brokers with training and compliance matters for the mortgage side of the division.

“I am delighted to introduce UTB’s new BDM team for mortgages and bridging,” said Jo Edwards, business development director for mortgages and bridging at UTB.
“We have exciting plans for the future, and these guys have the skills, experience and drive to help us achieve the substantial potential we see from taking UTB’s products and services to brokers across the UK.”
Jo felt that brokers appreciated UTB’s competitive pricing and swift turnaround at initial enquiry, which resulted in quick and reliable credit approved decisions.
“These are the cornerstones of UTB’s service, so combined with changes designed to deliver a slicker, more streamlined process from DIP to drawdown, brokers will have even more reason to recommend UTB for their clients’ bridging needs.
“With our new BDM team out on the road supported by talented underwriters and case managers back in the office, I’m looking forward to seeing UTB grow its mortgage and bridging business significantly over the next few years.”
