Folk2Folk launches Three Counties Hub

Folk2Folk has expanded its presence into Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire.

The peer-to-peer lending platform has repurposed its Tewkesbury office in Gloucestershire into a regional hub and, as a result, it is now active in these three counties.

The Tewkesbury branch will be rebranded as the Three Counties Hub and will offer a “hot desk” facility for business people and host a number of local events.

Folk2Folk is encouraging local groups to apply to use the space for meet ups and networking.

Giles Cross, CMO at Folk2Folk, said: “This is an important and exciting move for us.

“We’re passionate about enabling local investment and the free flow of capital within local communities to help support and grow local businesses, something we believe will be vital in a post-Brexit environment.

“The three counties possess a rich and diverse business community with thriving agricultural, leisure, manufacturing and professional sectors.

“There are brilliant businesses across the region, large and small.

“Our decision to expand our services into Herefordshire and Worcestershire is based not only on the increasing requirement of those businesses to find alternative sources of business finance, but also by the obvious desire of people wanting to invest their money locally and transparently, seeing the huge and positive impact their actions are making at first-hand and receiving a great investment return at the same time."

Last month, Folk2Folk announced the launch of its Innovative Finance Isa.
