The new team in the North East will operate from the firm’s Newcastle office and will be led by senior associate Sarah Willshire.
Sarah has joined from Watson Burton LLP having previously served at Bond Dickinson for more than 10 years developing her commercial law and property lending expertise.
She said: “I’m looking forward to working with Richard Miller [head of the property team] and the property team at Burnetts and being able to provide commercial property services to lenders, pension funds and businesses looking to buy, sell or lease properties.

“Burnetts has a strong reputation with commercial clients such as Santander, HSBC and InvestAcc, a major pension fund administrator, as well as other regional banks and building societies, so there’s lots of scope to grow the business in the North East.”
Rebecca Joy and Jane Jubb have also joined the team.
Jane previously worked at Lloyds Bank Securities Centre in Newcastle before moving into legal practice.
Rebecca specialises in property law and has worked her entire career in Newcastle after completing her law degree in Durham.
“Rebecca and I have known each other since school and the three of us share experience from our previous roles, so we are very well established,” Sarah added.
“There’s lots of potential for commercial property work in this region and the team has really hit the ground running.”
