Tony Salentino, director at Complete FS, said: “Overall lending volumes might be stagnant or down, but we need to look beyond the headlines and see how buoyant the rest of the lending market is.”
“Headlines about business volumes falling focus, in the main, on the mainstream market.
However, Tony said that the demand for borrowing facilities had not suffered.
“In fact, there is growing demand for first and second charge mortgages, bridging, commercial and BTL.
“The only difference is that the clients either do not fit the rigid profile on the high street or they are not getting a swift enough service from mainstream providers.
