One of the world’s most photographed women, supermodel Kate Moss, could soon replace catwalks with Cornish tea, as she is rumoured to be considering buying a property in Cornwall to turn into a Bed and Breakfast.
The model, better known for partying all night than making fry ups all morning, has reportedly fallen in love with a five bedroom detached house in the Cornish village of Golant, currently on the market for £1.2 million.
The property, called Bodriggan, comes complete with its own vineyard and impressive views over the River Fowey, and now the enigmatic model has apparently got her heart set on turning it into a luxury B&B.
Kate already owns a home in Oxfordshire and London, but is said to want the quieter pace of life offered in the county of Cornwall.
Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper, a ‘close friend’ said: “She’s yearned for a seaside retreat for some time.”
Referring to Kate’s new husband, Jamie Hince, guitarist from rock band The Kills, the friend continued: “Jamie’s quite a bookworm so he turned her on to the Cornish writer Daphne Du Maurier, who lived in Fowey, and since then Kate has been researching the area.
“They are planning to convert it into a luxury B&B for their friends.”
The couple are reported to have recently offered £5 million to buy the Burgh Island Hotel in Bigbury-on-Sea in Devon, but were turned down.
