The appointment comes as the peer-to-peer lending platform looks to bolster its presence in the intermediary space.
Damien has joined from LendInvest, where he spent a year as its northern business development manager and has previously served at Castle Trust and Crystal Specialist Finance.
At Assetz Capital, he will be responsible for creating and implementing the intermediary strategy across the business and taking ownership of relationships with national distributors and key trade bodies.
Damien will be based at Assetz Capital’s new head office at Manchester Airport and will also be tasked with raising the profiles of bridging, commercial and development loan opportunities.

“I am delighted to be joining Assetz Capital at such an exciting time for the company,” said Damien.
“With a new head office at Manchester Airport and a growing reputation in the market, everything is in place for exponential growth from people to products.”
Rob Pailin, managing director at Assetz Capital, said a key area of focus for the platform was the intermediary space.
“We’re keen to seek out and offer our services to the major players across the country, and with Damien on board, we are in a strong position to do so.
“He not only brings a wealth of experience to the business, but also a real passion for delivery, and we are confident that he will make a huge difference to the business.”
