The latest Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) residential market survey has revealed that house prices and sale volume increased relatively strongly in Wales in October.
The survey found that a net balance of +38% of surveyors reported an increase in house prices in the past three months than those who said they had fallen, while +32% of surveyors said they had seen an increase in the number of newly agreed sales.
Figures also found that +17% of surveyors in Wales saw an increase in instructions to sell.

Tony Filice, residential spokesperson for Wales at the RICS and director of Kelvin Francis, Cardiff, said: “The market is generally busy with new listings, viewings and offers, but there has been a noticeable easing off in the rush to buy that we have seen over recent months.
“That said, surveyors do remain relatively positive about the market and expect price rises and good sales activity into the three months ahead.”
House prices are expected to edge upwards into the new year, despite a slowdown in the growth of new-buyer enquiries.
