FinTech Scotland names new CEO

FinTech Scotland has announced the appointment of Stephen Ingledew as its CEO.

In his new role, Stephen will work closely with the fintech community via the FinTech Practitioners Forum, Scottish Financial Enterprise’s Fintech Steering Committee and two HM Treasury envoys.

Stephen – who has worked in the financial services sector for a number of years – has previously served as a senior executive for companies such as Standard Life and Barclays as well as small innovative financial enterprises.

In addition, he has held a number of non-executive director roles with Scottish Financial Enterprise, the Institute of Financial Services, the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Financial Services Authority.

Stephen is currently a non-executive director of Marketing Edinburgh, the body responsible for promoting the region.

Stephen has said he will focus his efforts on creating an integrated and thriving ecosystem via the provision of funding, support, infrastructure and talent that recognises and responds to the needs of all stakeholders and connects Scotland to other global fintech centres.
