It may seem like only yesterday that three wildly irritating, acting school debutants exploded onto our cinema screens demanding we take them seriously, yet now, with their multi-million pound fortunes tied up in some of the world’s most exclusive property, newspaper editors across the globe are definitely taking a serious interest.
With this weekend marking the world premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, it emerged that Rupert Grint – aka Ron Weasley – owns property assets worth £9.2 million.
At just 22-years-old, Mr Grint’s considerable portfolio includes two Herefordshire mansions and a central London apartment.
And as for Harry himself (Daniel Radcliffe, that is), the 21-year-old wizard owns no fewer than four properties in New York alone – a large 19thcentury West Village Brownstone and two apartments, one in the city’s achingly cool SoHo district and another overlooking the Hudson.
Together Mr Radcliffe’s properties are worth a cool £10 million.
Meanwhile, 20-year-old pin-up Emma Watson – who recently ‘shocked’ fans with her new elfin haircut – appears to be a little less flamboyant with her magical fortune. Despite being worth a reported £22 million, (£2 million more than Mr Grint), Miss Watson has ‘only’ a £1 million French ski chalet in Méribel and a £3 million house in London’s Hampstead area.
Still irritating? We think so.
