A Specialist lender has confirmed its intention to offer larger loans for the bridging loan sector.
United Trust Bank (UTB) removed its £2 million maximum loan criteria at the start of November, with the change marking the successful expansion of UTB’s bridging division.
Commenting on the bank’s decision to remove its lending limit, Rob Love, bridging sales manager at UTB said: “This is the first of a number of steps that we are taking which reflect our ambition within the sector.
“We’ve had a strong first six months of lending and now we are looking to capitalise on our funding capacity and appetite to lend”.
Also commenting on the move, UTB’s Head of Bridging, Alan Margolis, said: “Introducers can be confident that our competitive rates apply equally across the board, no matter what the loan size.”
