The leading companies and individuals in the bridging, commercial, development, alternative finance and specialist banking markets have been shortlisted and are now in the running to win the industry’s most prestigious awards.
Almost 2,000 votes were cast online, highlighting who the industry believes is deserving of the famed B&C gold gongs.
After nominations closed on 20th April, key lenders and brokers within the sector were tasked with narrowing down the longlist of the top nominees in each category.
The judging panels will deliberate on 18th May to determine the winners and highly commended in each of the 18 categories. The Marketing Campaign of the Year and Outstanding Contribution awards are determined by B&C.
There are a number of strong categories this year, including a much larger Newcomer of the Year shortlist compared to previous years, reflecting the surge of new entrants to the bridging sector.
Meanwhile, the Specialist Product of the Year award should be closely fought, with the shortlist containing a mix of new and established companies.
The names of the winners will be kept a closely-guarded secret until this year’s event – B&C’s 10th awards ceremony – at the Hurlingham Club on Thursday 7th June.
All shortlisted nominees will be contacted directly with details of how to progress their nomination(s).

Hi Aaron There are two judging panels and two sessions. Broker judges judge lender categories and vice versa. In the Fintech category, where both lenders and brokers are present as nominees, the broker panel will vote on the lender nominees and the lender panel on the broker nominees and the chairs will make a call on the winner and highly commended.

could it be explained how it works when a nominee has a representative on the judging panel?
