Lendy names new COO

P2P secured property platform Lendy has announced that it has appointed Robert Kelly (pictured above) as its chief operating officer (COO).

Robert has over 25 years of experience in operations management at financial services platforms, including being IT director and on the board at The Mortgage Lender.

He has also served as chief information officer at Smart Driver Club – an app which connects to a car to provide an insurance quote – and head of IT at Wunelli, which was responsible for developing telematics technology for motor insurance.

“I’m excited to be joining one of the market leaders in P2P property lending and taking on traditional lenders in the property sector,” said Robert.

Liam Brooke, co-founder of Lendy, said it was extremely delighted that Robert had decided to join as COO.

“…His fintech expertise mixed with his property experience means he is a natural fit for our team.

“We have expanded and improved our team tremendously over the last 18 months.

“The expansion of our senior team is something that we will continue to focus on.

“One of the things that we are recognised for is the quality of our online platform – we’re looking forward to Robert helping make it even better for our investors and borrowers.”
