2010 certainly has flown by...with only a change of government, a disappointing World Cup, an ash cloud and a couple of snow falls to show for it.
In industry terms, the last 12 months have been exciting for the specialist finance sector: new faces popped up; new lenders opened their doors... some old ones finally unbolted theirs and a trade body especially for brokers specialising in bridging finance launched – the Association of Bridging Professionals (AOBP).
Although only time, base rate changes and consumer confidence will tell us what the New Year has in store, we have a sneaky feeling that both the bridging and commercial sectors will go from strength to strength in 2011.
From all of us at Bridging and Commercial, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your loyalty and support in 2010. Thanks to you, Bridging and Commercial has enjoyed a particularly successful year, with record site visits and even our very first awards ceremony, which took place in June in the City of London, and saw the biggest and best in bridging and specialist finance come out and try and bag themselves an award.
As this is our last newsletter of the year, we will sign off here; wish you a happy and peaceful holiday season, a marvellous New Year’s celebration and a prosperous year ahead.
Our next newsletter will be on Thursday January 6th and until then – eat, drink, be merry and get ready for 2011.
All the best,
The Bridging and Commercial Team
