The P2P lender has created the new role to cement its position among retail investors and open up its products to new channels.
This will entail further improving its products for investors and growing its customer base.
Mario has served at RateSetter for more than three years as the head of marketing, managing director of consumer finance and, most recently, chief product officer.
Prior to his tenure at the P2P lender, he was head of acquisition at NewDay and vice-president of digital acquisition at Barclaycard.
