Avamore and Matterport to bring VR experience to FP Show

Avamore Capital will be partnering with immersive media company Matterport to offer VR experiences to delegates at the Finance Professional Show.

The bridging lender will invite attendees at the FP Show – on 7th November at Olympia London – to use Matterport’s VR headset which is used for a variety of applications – from touring real estate projects to experiencing event spaces.

Matterport’s VR headset can be used by developers to showcase project portfolios to investors, to share desktop updates with monitoring surveyors and to give end user marketing a new dimension.

Michael Dean, principal at Avamore Capital (pictured above), said that it was excited that Matterport would be joining it at the FP Show.

“The event is one of the biggest in the industry and the partnership aligns with our goal to champion the latest methods and technology in the proptech industry.

“We always seek to build partnerships with [businesses] that add value to property developers and look for ways in which we can broaden our outreach together.

“We hope that the delegates at the Financial Professional Show will be intrigued to see what Matterport’s VR experience offers; Avamore is certainly impressed and we envisage this to be a great way of showcasing some of the projects which our borrowers have worked on.

“I think the key is that this is not just for the property agent, it’s for anyone that wants to find a unique way to illustrate the schemes they have worked on.”

Michael added that he was looking forward to seeing delegates at the event putting on the headset and being transported into another dimension.

“I’d encourage any developer unfamiliar with Matterport to come and see how exciting the product is first-hand.”

James Morris-Manuel, EMEA VP at Matterport, said: “We are looking forward to working with Avamore at the FP Show.

“This collaboration is a clear indicator that the sector is beginning to embrace ever more immersive experiences in [the] property market, including the demand we’re seeing for the navigable captures of real-world spaces that Matterport specialises in.”
